MMAAATTTTEEEE!If you know… you know.

If you've spent enough time on a fishing boat, you know what usually came next: “I broke off!” “We're tangled!” “I need another rig!”

And when the bite was HOT, that call hit different. Somebody needed to get back in the water, so I tied — right there on the boat, by hand, sometimes one after another after snags, break-offs or tangles that had to be cut.

TIE IT.CHECK IT.HAND IT OVER.GET ’EM BACK DOWN.

Then came the part that never got old: the line comes tight, the rod loads up… FISH ON.

The people below are people I personally know, and the fish they're holding were caught on rigs I personally hand tied for them. Some were tied ahead of time. Others were tied right there on the water when they needed them most.
