Earthworms under rocks. Sunnies, bass and trout. Knots, structure, shade, depth and current. The little things became the foundation for everything later.
More than a nickname
The fishing story came first.
Jiggin Jeff was not invented in a logo shop. The name grew out of years on the water — from childhood fishing with Grandpa, to freshwater throughout Northwest New Jersey, to the rail in Belmar where the regulars started noticing one thing: Jeff’s rod kept bending.

Built by the water.
Jeff’s fishing story began at four years old in Milford, Connecticut, beside his grandfather. The first lessons were simple — find your own bait, tie the knot right, pay attention to the current, and think about where a fish should be before you cast.
After moving to New Jersey, he kept those freshwater roots alive throughout Northwest Jersey before the Atlantic pulled him farther east. Belmar became home water. Head boats became classrooms. Eventually, Jeff worked the deck as a mate and saw fishing from both sides of the rail.
